Regina

Regina

is a singer of dance music, and was born in Brooklyn, New York. Her most popular hit she is most known for is, Baby Love, which was released in 1986. The song hit number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. When the song was released, many people thought the song was performed by Madonna. The record was co-written by Regina and collaborator, Stephen Bray, which frequently wrote for Madonna. In fact the song was submitted to Madonna but she turned it down. So Regina and Bray recorded themselves. Regina began her singing career before Madonna did. She released an album with Regina & The Red Hots on A&M Records label and she also recorded a solo single called Deep Dreaming. Baby Love was taken from Regina’s album, Curiosity which was recorded on the Atlantic Records label. The album also included, Say Goodbye, which was a song she wrote with Kenny Rogers’ voice in mind. Baby Love was the only hit to reach number one on the charts but she had three others that hit the Hot Dance Music/Club Play Chart. She also recorded another album but it was never released. It was called, Best kept Secret. Regina’s first single was released in the U. K. By A&M Records. The A side of the record was Tyger and it was released in 1980.

Regina Richards is not to be confused with another Regina known as Regina which was from Brazil and released the song, Day By Day, which was number 11 on the charts in 1997. Still another Regina is Regina Spektor.
