There are two famous men named Jack Wagner in the music/acting categories. One Jack Wagner was born on January 5, 1897. Jack was a United States screenwriter who was born in Los Angeles, California. He spent many of his years as a gigolo in Mexico before he returned to Los Angeles. He then worked for D. W. Griffith on his early films. From 1909 to 1912, Jack worked as a furniture painter or set designer and was a second unit cameraman. He also did some gag writing and finally got a job with Mack Sennett, writing gags for Keystone Kops. He was recognized most for his car chase scenes. He joined the Army in their motion picture unit during World War I. He was discharged from the Army in 1919. After his discharge, he continued as a gag writer. He was also an assistant director and second unit man for directors, Allan Dwan and Lewis Milestone. He wrote gags for Harry Langdon and Will Rogers. After films went to talking films, he helped write some of the scripts. He helped script the film, The Little Minister which starred Katherine Hepburn.

Jack was friends and drinking buddies with John Steinbeck. He worked with Steinbeck on the script for Benny and also for The Pearl. They received an Academy Award nomination for Benny. Jack passed away in Los Angeles died on February 6, 1965.

The other famous Jack Wagner had a career in acting and singing. He was born on October 3, 1959 in Washington, Missouri. He is an Emmy Award-nominated American actor. Jackís most famous role was Frisco Jones on the soap opera, General Hospital. He appeared on the show from 1983 until 1995. There were gaps in between that he did not appear on the show. He also played as Warren Lockridge on the soap opera Santa Barbara. From 1991 until 1993. He played on Melrose place from 1994 to 1999 as Dr. Peter Burns. He also directed the episodes. He has been playing as Dominick Marone on the soap opera, The Bold ans the Beautiful. He also appeared in the Titans tv series in 2000. He has hosted two Miss Universe Pageants, one in 1998 and again in 1999. Jack has recorded five albums and has had a top 40 hit, All I Need which reached number 2 on the Billboard Pop Chart in 1985.

Jackís albums include All I Need (1984), Lighting Up the Night (1985), Donít Give Up Your Day Job (1987), Alone In the Crowd (1993), and Dancing in the Moonlight (2005). Jack has filed for a divorce from Kristins Wagner and is now dating Heather Locklear. Jackís career does not stop there. He continues his acting and singing.
