The common link between the two songs is the fact that, You Little Thief, was written by Benmont Tench, who was a member of Tom Petty’s band. The song was a response to Maria McKee’s song, A Good Heart, which was a song about him. Maria later had a worldwide hit of her own called, Show Me heaven. The song was used on the soundtrack for the movie, Days of Thunder.
